Usage

Available on the Para client in @getpara/web-sdk, @getpara/react-sdk, @getpara/react-sdk-lite, @getpara/server-sdk and @getpara/react-native-wallet, through @getpara/core-sdk.

Signature

signApprovalTransaction(params: SignApprovalTransactionParams): Promise<PermissionsV2ConditionalApprovalCaseView>

The method reads the signing payload, signs it and submits the signature. For safe_eip712, evm_transaction and evm_typed_data payloads it adds a 0x prefix when the signature has none.

Access and Portal behavior

Signed-in approver who can sign in the current stage. walletId must be a wallet loaded on this client. The method signs without opening a transaction review, and it does not broadcast anything. If signing returns no signature, for example because a policy blocks it, the method throws and submits nothing.

Errors

A failed request rejects with an error that carries status, code and message. A few refusals have their own code, such as POLICY_DENIED, INITIATOR_CANNOT_REVIEW and APPROVAL_CASES_AFFECTED. Most arrive as plain text, with code set to ERR_BAD_REQUEST for a 4xx status and the server message in message, so branch on message for those. Rows marked Client throw a plain Error with only a message, before any request is sent, so call the method inside try with await to catch every error. Permissions errors lists every error.

400	`case does not contain a transaction signature collection`	The case collects approvals, not signatures.
403	`user cannot contribute to the current signing stage`	The user cannot sign in the current stage. Read `decision.reason` from the case to see why.
403	`an owned wallet registered with this partner is required`	The wallet is not one of the user’s own wallets registered with your app, or it cannot sign this transaction type.
403	`signing wallet is outside this authorization scope`	The signing wallet is not bound to the case’s authorization scope.
403	`transaction signature contribution is denied by policy`	A policy on the signer’s wallet blocks the signature.
403	`permissions v2 extension is not available for this partner`	Conditional approvals are not enabled for your API key. Contact Para to enable them.
404	`conditional approval case not found`	No case with this ID exists in your app.
409	`transaction signature collection authorization is no longer current`	The collection passed its `expiresAt`, or the policies that apply to it changed since it opened.
