Usage

Available on the Para client in @getpara/web-sdk, @getpara/react-sdk, @getpara/react-sdk-lite, @getpara/server-sdk and @getpara/react-native-wallet, through @getpara/core-sdk.

Signature

updateUserPolicyParameters(policyId: string, body: PermissionsV2UserParameterSave): Promise<PermissionsV2UserParameterView>

A parameter you leave out of values goes back to the policy default, so send every parameter you want to keep.

Key values by parameter ID, and write amounts as strings in the fact’s units.

Access and Portal behavior

Signed-in user, for their own values. Does not open Portal.

Saving or resetting these values does not grant consent. Check the consent status afterwards and send the user to Portal with getPolicyConsentUrl when it needs confirming.

Errors

A failed request rejects with an error that carries status, code and message. A few refusals have their own code, such as POLICY_DENIED, INITIATOR_CANNOT_REVIEW and APPROVAL_CASES_AFFECTED. Most arrive as plain text, with code set to ERR_BAD_REQUEST for a 4xx status and the server message in message, so branch on message for those. Rows marked Client throw a plain Error with only a message, before any request is sent, so call the method inside try with await to catch every error. Permissions errors lists every error.

400	`user parameter values are invalid`	A parameter ID is unknown for this policy, or a value is not a whole number in base units written without leading zeros.
403	`permissions v2 extension is not available for this partner`	Adjustable parameters are not enabled for your API key. Contact Para to enable them.
403	`user parameter policy is not visible to this scope`	The policy targets other users or another app.
404	`user parameter policy not found`	The policy has no adjustable parameters for this user.
409	`user parameter revision changed; reload settings`	`expectedRevision` is not the current revision.
409	`user parameter policy changed; reload settings`	`policyVersion` or `policyHash` is not the active version.
