Usage

Available on the Para client in @getpara/web-sdk, @getpara/react-sdk, @getpara/react-sdk-lite, @getpara/server-sdk and @getpara/react-native-wallet, through @getpara/core-sdk.
Signature
chainId is required. Use a decimal chain ID such as "8453" for EVM, or a network ID such as solana:mainnet or stellar:testnet. Pass tokenAddress when an ERC-20 spend condition names no token. The result reports usage already counted and does not predict whether a new request is allowed. A policy with no metered spend condition returns an empty meters list for a decimal EVM chainId the policy covers. For such a policy, a network ID such as solana:mainnet fails with 400 chainId must be a positive EVM chain ID, whatever the wallet type. Safe spend meters appear only when you pass safeAddress, and only after one of the user’s wallets has a Safe payment recorded for that Safe on this network. Otherwise the result has the wallet meters alone.

Access and Portal behavior

Signed-in user. The wallet must belong to that user. Does not open Portal.

Errors

A failed request rejects with an error that carries status, code and message. A few refusals have their own code, such as POLICY_DENIED, INITIATOR_CANNOT_REVIEW and APPROVAL_CASES_AFFECTED. Most arrive as plain text, with code set to ERR_BAD_REQUEST for a 4xx status and the server message in message, so branch on message for those. Rows marked Client throw a plain Error with only a message, before any request is sent, so call the method inside try with await to catch every error. Permissions errors lists every error.
