Send a payment by supplying its recipient, amount, and network/token details. Para builds the transaction and fills omitted nonce and fees. Gas is the network’s processing fee, separate from the payment amount. For wallet-paid EVM transfers, Para fills omitted fees from the same recommendations as estimateFee(). Supplied initial fee overrides remain unchanged. Set sponsoredGas: true to require Para-paid gas, or sponsoredGas: false for wallet-paid gas. With true, Para manages nonce, gas limits, fees, and submission. Unsupported nonce, gas/fee/type, or retry controls return errors; they are never ignored to make sponsorship succeed. Omitting it selects wallet-paid execution, even for enrolled partners. Explicit sponsorship never falls back to wallet-paid gas; see Gas sponsorship for eligibility, unsupported combinations, and errors.
transfer() throws ParaRestSponsorshipError when the response’s gas payer differs from the requested sponsoredGas value. The transfer may already be submitted, so reconcile error.response before you retry.
For wallet-paid payments that need further attempts while pending, see Automatic fee retry. TransferRequest does not expose autoRetry; use that guide’s HTTP example.
